The carcass was sound, which is usually the case with these — it was the lid and the hinges that had given up, so both were rebuilt.
Recovered in black with a padded lid deep enough to sit on, and turned feet cleaned back and re-finished.
It ends up at the foot of a bed holding everything that would otherwise be on a chair.
